Efficacy and Safety of Deferiprone in Treatment-Naive and Non-Treatment-Naive Patients With Parkinson Disease

Do you have early-stage Parkinson's? That is, have you been diagnosed in the last three years? The purpose of this study is to find out what effect (good or bad) the study drug deferiprone may have on patients with Parkinson disease.

The study will help determine if the effects of the drug are different in people who are already taking antiparkinsonian medications and those who are not. 



Who is eligible to participate in the study?

  • people who have been diagnosed with Parkinson disease within the past three years
  • people who are currently untreated for Parkinson disease or are on a stable dose of medication(s) for Parkinson's
  • men and women aged 18-80
