
The Champions of Hope Chair - Bob Fisher
Bob Fisher was born January 30, 1947 in Tompkins, SK. His family moved to southern Alberta where he attended
elementary and high school, eventually graduating high school and attending
SAIT. After graduation, he and his wife
Judy had two daughters and now have a grandson. Bob went to the University of
Alberta in Edmonton, graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He started
his career with Hudson’s Bay Oil and Gas, then went to Murphy Oil and finally on
to Wascana Energy in 1990.
He was Vice President, Corporate at Wascana – responsible for
Finance, IT, Human Recourses. In 1998,
Wascana was bought out and Bob moved on to create a small oil and gas company.
Today, Bob and Judy are officially retired and living in Calgary.
Bob was diagnosed with PD in 2009. Since that time, he has been dedicated
to fighting this neurological condition through his commitment to research. |
